Hauled Waste Receiving Station
The GBMSD hauled waste program is one of the largest in A wide variety of liquid wastes are ultimately disposed of at GBMSD including septic tank, holding tank, portable toilets, sludges, petroleum contaminated waters, various industrial wastes, leachate, and grease. The trucks used to deliver these wastes have capacities upwards of 6,000 gallons. In recent years, GBMSD has had an average of over 7,000 trucks and 32-35 million gallons of liquid waste discharged annually. A sample is collected from each load of liquid waste. The results of the sample analyses are used to establish analytically based disposal rates as well as confirming compliance with the GBMSD Sewer Use Ordinance. Annually, there are several thousand analyses that are run at the GBMSD laboratory for this purpose. |
